Spartanburg District Five students will have a new opportunity to receive arts education beginning in the 2018-19 school year.
Maggie Burnett, 14, of Greer is getting ready to compete at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) National Finals.
An eighth-grade student at Veritas Preparatory School in Greenville, Burnett has been training with Callie Dodson of Greer at Royal Oaks Equestrian Center, where she started as a new rider in 2014.
