After hosting 8,000 people last season for its inaugural Upick event, Southern Hills Lavender in Greer has announced Upick 2017 to be held over six weeks, from May 12 through June 17.
Visitors can register for a day of Upick to cut their own lavender bundle and pick from 11 cultivars of lavender–even pink lavender.

In response to the significant growth in singers from Upstate South Carolina and North Carolina, and to reflect the dynamic, world-wide growth of a cappella, four-part barbershop harmony, Greenville In Harmony Chorus has officially changed its name to Vocal Matrix Chorus.
Roper Mountain Science Center has partnered with organizations from across the Upstate to bring in interactive exhibits and hands on activities for Space Day 2017 to be held Saturday, March 11, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the center.

Greenville Center for Creative Arts will hold an Art School Open House on Friday, March 3, from 6-8 p.m.
Visitors can find out more about the instructors and 2017 class lineup, and register for an upcoming six-week class, workshop or Summer Art Camp.
Beginning this month, visitors to Lighten Up Spartanburg! scultpures will be able to hear artists speak about what inspired them by using an interactive audio guide app and digital map designed by the Spartanburg Art Museum, available on any smartphone, tablet, or computer.
