I don’t think I’ve mentioned this in great detail in past columns, but I have spent the past year or so handling my grandmother’s estate. It has been an adventure, to say the least.

By the time you read this, Greenville may have another baby giraffe. At the rate Autumn, the pregnant giraffe is progressing, we may not. Apparently, birth isn’t quick.
I love back to school time. It helps that I’m not going back to school and don’t have kids headed back.
Dale and I have been watching the ridiculous reality show, “Out of the Wild: Venezuela.” It’s a Discovery Channel show about several people who volunteer for one of the most insane challenges ever.
I’ve said it before and will say it again: children don’t need to be coddled as much as they are. It’s a shame. Given the tiniest amount of freedom, they do amazing things.
Until I was 18 years old, my family almost always had a dog – or a few. When I went off to college, however, we were dogless.
At 26 years old, there are a few things I’ve accepted about myself as things I can’t change.
I will always be short. I don’t care - I’m adorable. I rock 5’ 1”.
I’ve been talking about it for months now, so here is the final update in my quest for homeownership.
Y’all, I’m going to let you in on a secret of mine. I’m a big fan of following rules that benefit everyone. Using your blinker is one of them.
